We were able to demonstrate across multiple areas a TREMENDOUS amount of teamwork

Pat Murdick, Bronson Employee

We had a mother with a 14 month old who showed up at Bronson Methodist Hospital Outpatient Testing and was under the impression that the 14 month old patient was scheduled for a swallow study here at our location. She had driven over an hour to get here. We checked and there was no appointment, no order/referral either.

Registration called Pediatric Subspecialties and they had not ordered the VFSS but their RN offered to investigate further. Registration then called the patient’s Pediatric PCP who said that they actually had ordered it and scheduled it in Sturgis near the family’s home.

The RN in Pediatric Subspecialties surmised the test needed to be done, put in the order and notified registration.  Registration called Fluoro who contacted Speech to see if they could squeeze in the pediatric patient. Speech said yes and we were able to demonstrate across multiple areas a TREMENDOUS amount of teamwork. The patient’s Mom was very grateful and extremely pleased with the customer service that she received.

Great job one and all!
