Staff from the Bronson Center for Learning volunteered at the Food Bank of South Central Michigan on Friday August 9th. We shucked over 700 ears of corn and packaged them for the food bank.
In Michigan, 16% of households are struggling to put food on the table and 21% of children do not know where their next meal will come from. (Statistic from the Food Bank of SCM).
