We recognize them for the partnerships and healthy work they are doing

Today we recognize our BBC Dietary Team for building trusting partnerships and promoting health in the workplace and community.

All of us are aware that we are served by an awesome dietary team.  They provide thousands of high quality, healthy meals every week – continuously work to increase the amount of food sourced locally – and demonstrate a strong commitment to our environment.  But today we recognize them for the partnerships and healthy work they are doing OUTSIDE of the hospital walls.  Recently, our dietary team completed a fifth year of healthy cooking demonstrations in local elementary schools – well over 100 demonstrations now completed.  And last week the team provided a healthy ‘trick or treat’ option for several thousand attendees at a community Halloween celebration sponsored by BBC, Operation Fit and Kellogg Community College.  Positive messages impacting a large number of young people.

Thanks to John, Art, Cathy, Shannon, Michelle, RDs Sarah and Nancy and the whole team for their commitment to our good health.  And thanks to staff across Bronson who work to build a healthier community.
