We are so thankful for these opportunities!
Certified athletic trainer, Jessica, receives AED from Mrs. Leonard.
On June 22, 2019, I had the opportunity to represent Plainwell High School as their head athletic trainer and accept an AED that was donated to us by the Wes Leonard Heart Team during their 2019 golf outing. Mrs. Leonard and the WLHT go above and beyond to advocate for heart safety in schools and communities in hopes to prevent another family from experiencing loss like they have. The Wes Leonard Heart Team was able to donate six brand new AEDs this year and we feel privileged to have been selected as one of their recipients.
As the athletic trainer at Plainwell High School, the assistant principal, Deb Beals, and I put together an application and were awarded the status of MI Heart Safe School for 2018-2021. She also wrote the grant to the Wes Leonard Heart Team and we are so thankful for these opportunities!
