We are so grateful for the care and compassion we were given during this challenging and unknown time

Jamie Whittington, Patient

The Bronson labor and delivery staff, as well as mother-baby unit staff, took the best care of my son and I. I was pregnant with my first child, and everything was going well. While working in the hospital I felt a mild headache and decided to check my blood pressure, it was alarmingly high. I quickly went to L&D, where I was observed and admitted to manage. I cannot remember all of the nurses that managed my care, but some names stick out to me including Darcy, Lisa, Jillian, and Mel B., Patty, and Nikki. I was terrified after being induced and learning that I would have to have a c section, 4 weeks early. They made sure I knew 100% what was going on the entire time and eased my nerves, as well as brought me 1000 glasses of water when I could not get enough. Especially when my baby went to NICU OBS and my husband went with, I did not feel alone. In NICU, Laura and Vicky took excellent care and time with my baby and family.  Dr. Carman and Dr. Kent were wonderful.

After my delivery, I was transferred to the mother-baby unit. Staff that comes to mind are Holly(nights) Heather (days), Steph (nights), and Dawn (days). On mother-baby, the staff spent a significant amount of time with my family and me while we figured out how to care for ourselves and our baby while recovering from major surgery. It felt like we were there for an eternity, but they taught us so much! We are so grateful for the care and compassion we were given during this challenging and unknown time.

Thank you so much!
