We are beyond honored to highlight this foundation.
Our son, Maverick spent 6 weeks in the NICU and after that time I was stirred to give back someway, somehow. We get a lot of questions about our son and his conditions because they are so rare. We recognize that we have some challenges ahead but want to give back along the way. Through that idea, we have been able to make 2 donations to Bronson and to a new non-profit that helps families of pregnancy loss. Here is a snippet of what we share with our buyers:
Our son, Maverick, has inspired this collection and our passion for giving back, which brought the name – The Maverick Giveback! Mav has conquered over five surgeries and over 200 doctor appointments just in his 21 months alone. Born with Arthrogryposis and Pierre Robin Sequence, these conditions are not defining Maverick but sharing how he won’t let that stop him!
Our passion is to wear purposeful clothing, educate and partner with children’s nonprofits to support!
Half of December’s net sales will go to our local hospital – Bronson Methodist Hospital. In light of the uptick in cases, we want to give to the Covid-19 fund that specifically gives to the frontline workers and helps cover childcare costs. We are beyond honored to highlight this foundation.
This month we are highlighting our educational piece about our son’s diagnosis – Bilateral Clubfoot. Clubfoot is where the feet are inwards and downwards. It affects both of his feet, but the right foot is a big challenge to overcome! Due to this condition, he is currently not walking (YET) and has had two surgeries and multiple castings to correct his feet. This has been our biggest mountain to climb, but we can’t wait to see this mountain be conquered!
We hope you wear this hoodie with pride, knowing you gave back and you have learned more about our amazing mountain mover!
We are honored to partner with another local company in Kalamazoo, MI.
