Today we recognize Dr. Scott Larson for raising the bar, building trusting partnerships, and his deep commitment to improved community health.

This past week, Bronson Battle Creek announced our plans to become a teaching hospital – and to create a new residency training program in family medicine here in Battle Creek.  This is a really exciting initiative for us  and will greatly improve healthcare access, aid in the recruitment of new physicians, and contribute to the economic vitality of Calhoun County.  It can truly be a ‘game-changing’ moment for BBC and our community.

What you may not know is that our Bronson senior vice president of medical affairs, Dr. Scott Larson, has been a true ‘champion’ of this effort.  Dr. Larson chaired the steering committee that has been working diligently for two years to make BBC a teaching hospital.  This has been a creative and challenging process, and Dr. Larson’s vision and passion for developing a residency in Battle Creek has been a key ingredient to our success.

Thanks to Dr. Larson or helping us raise the bar.  And thanks to all across Bronson who work daily to improve the quality and service we provide to our community.
