For Terry Gordon, the last two years have been difficult. First, she suffered a workplace injury which put her in the emergency department and she was unable to work.
Several months later, she faced a new obstacle. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of cancer. “I ended up at the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center,” says Terry. “I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy there. My experience has been beautiful thanks to the people there who are so nice.”
In addition to her medical challenges, Terry has also suffered a series of family losses. “My family has been turned upside down.” She received some relief when she learned the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Fund would help pay for her cancer medication. “To me it was a lifesaver. It helped take a little stress off.”
“I’m thankful to the people that are able to donate. That’s a blessing for us that don’t have it,” Terry says. “And when I get myself situated, I’m going to be a donor and a volunteer.”
