To be able to help others during this time is a great feeling

Morgan Jones, Patient

After the birth of our daughter in July of 2021 for the first time, I was able to start my breastfeeding journey for the first time after two previous children. Although she was transferred to Mott’s Children’s Hospital and unable to nurse I was able to start exclusively pump for her. With the help/support from all the nurses at Bronson during my stay & the continued help from the staff at Mott’s, I was able to OVER produce what our sweet girl needed. She was not consuming what I was pumping and I continued to pump every 3 hours on the dot every single day even after I returned to work while she stayed at Mott’s.

Given her condition unfortunately she passed away in September and in her memory, I was able to donate almost 550 ounces in breastmilk. To be able to help others during this time is a great feeling.
