They worked together to deliver exceptional care
Recently, Alice Green was cleaning and noticed a package of prescription medication in the trash can. She retrieved the meds, gave them to an emergency department nurse, who in turn delivered them to the Bronson Battle Creek pharmacy. Our pharmacist contacted the patient’s pharmacy, which came to BBC to pick up the medications and delivered them to the patient. It is noteworthy that these were very expensive medications – and due to Medicaid restrictions, likely could not have been replaced until a refill was due. An important win for this patient.
Congratulations and thank you to Alice Green, who demonstrated the value of paying attention to detail. And I love the linkage that connects housekeeping, emergency, pharmacy and even the community – all working together to deliver exceptional care.
