They show up day after day with smiles on their faces

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to the entire staff at Bronson Battle Creek’s MedSurg floor (c3). I started on this unit as a Nurse Extern with little to no bedside experience due to being in nursing school during the pandemic. Every single preceptor that I have had has been nothing but helpful and patient as I try to learn. The “nurses eat their young” stigma does not hold true on this unit. Not only are the nurses amazing, but the rest of the staff down to the EVS workers are as well. These workers have been through so much during the pandemic taking care of covid patients but they show up day after day with smiles on their faces. I am so grateful I have been able to work along side them for the past 9 months and I’m confident they will all continue to spread the positivity.
