They ALL are forever in my heart, thoughts & prayers

Kyle Ploehn, Patient

Spent six weeks (Dec 2019- Jan 2020) in the trauma unit after suffering a complete amputation of my right leg (hip disarticulation). I have so much love, respect and gratitude for SO MANY!! The trauma & ortho surgeons who literally saved my life, the other doctors/NPs/PA-Cs who were brought in for consults, the cafeteria staff who helped me regain my strength, the cleaning crew who brought sunshine & conversation to my room every day.

But top of my list go to two groups. First, to the PT & OT staff who trained me, strengthened me, taught me & pushed me. And saving the best for last are the AMAZING nurses (RNs, PCAs, etc) who treated me like family — caring for me 24/7, caring for my family & friends, teaching me SO MANY THINGS — expanding my medical knowledge, as well as much more.

There are not enough words to express my gratitude & appreciation for all that so many did for me!! I am forever in their debt and they ALL are forever in my heart, thoughts & prayers.
