The many doctors, nurses and hospital staff all treated her like family

Shelly Cassel, Family Member

My daughter Izy’s Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia journey began on March 19, 2018.  She started with a long stay in Bronson’s Children’s Hospital where she has had a port surgically inserted, many lumbar punctures and many more chemo treatments.  Through all this she was never scared.  The many doctors, nurses and hospital staff all treated her like family.  When you are around family, it is hard to be scared.  She has stayed over 3 months so far during her journey.  Hopefully she only has outpatient visits only through the finish of her treatment but if she has to stay, she will be once again welcomed with open arms by her extended family at Bronson’s Children’s Hospital.
