The leadership and service shown by Luis was no surprise

Jim McKernan, Bronson Employee

You may recall the story from this summer – Luis was among the first on the scene of a hit and run accident here in Battle Creek. The victim was lying in the street – and Luis immediately noted that there was no safety perimeter around the victim or those performing CPR.  Luis used his car to block a lane and provide a secure setting for care.  He then stepped forward and offered to join the community members providing CPR.  Luis and others delivered CPR until the ambulance arrived.  The leadership and service shown by Luis was no surprise to his co-workers; he is an outstanding nurse, leader, and positive role model in both Bronson and the community.

Congratulations to Luis Torres.

As our quarterly Winner Wednesday honoree, Luis (and the surgery department) receive a basket of special goodies, our Winner Wednesday travelling trophy, and a luncheon to celebrate.

And thanks to all across Bronson who ‘live’ our standards of excellence in settings across the community.
