ValleyHUB is a food hub, which is located in the Food Innovation Center on the college’s Bronson Healthy Living Campus at 224 East Crosstown Parkway located next to Bronson Methodist Hospital near downtown Kalamazoo. At ValleyHUB, our staff and students clean, lightly process and prepared locally grown products for distribution to customers, including Bronson.  Our goal is to get more healthy fresh foods onto more plates in southwest Michigan.

Because we partner with both sides of the supply chain, with the farmers on one end and large institutions on the other, we are able to ensure that there are products for the growing demand for locally-sourced produce.  Once farmers grow the product, we purchase it and prepare it for sale.

Bronson has been a collaborator since the beginning of the Healthy Living Campus. The Bronson team continues to collaborate and find new ways of ensuring a healthy food supply in the region. They are really easy to work with and are motivated and engaged in the process.

With continued support from Bronson, we will soon be able to start using new technologies to forecast future food demand. This will help us ensure that farmers are growing the right types of food at the right times

Our partnership with Bronson has a great impact on the entire community.  It provides Bronson with a reliable source of fresh, locally-sourced, nutrient-dense food for their patients and employees.  Our farming partners know that that there is a steady demand for their products and the community benefits from learning more about the benefits of a healthy diet.
