Today we recognize Kristin Hankinson RN for being accountable and standing up for safety. Kristin is a float pool nurse here at BBC. Recently she floated as a helping hands RN to assist in a department that was short staffed. Confidentiality dictates that we avoid sharing any details – but suffice it to say that Kristin observed a patient issue . . . spoke up for safety . . . and her intervention potentially saved a life.
