Thanks to Evan for helping deliver an exceptional care experience!

Jim McKernan, Bronson Employee

Today we recognize groundskeeper Evan Marciszewski for being a problem solver and delivering patient and family centered care.

Recently, Nancy Radcliff (director of the Bronson Experience) was rounding on patients here at BBC. Nancy met a woman who spoke about her joy for the outdoors . . . in fact, what the patient missed the most during her inpatient stay was the smell of freshly cut wood. Groundskeeper Evan Marciszewski came to the rescue! Evan went home on his lunch hour, cut a few pieces of wood – and he delivered some beautiful fresh cut wood and a bag of fresh sawdust. The patient was excited . . . tearful . . . and deeply appreciative of this caring and healing gesture.

Thanks to Evan for helping deliver an exceptional care experience. What a great reminder that each of us has opportunities every day to work together to care for our patients and families.
