Thanks to all involved for a great team effort!
Today we recognize an extended Bronson Battle Creek team that demonstrated great problem solving skills, accountability and a commitment to high quality during our Operation OR Upgrade in the Bronson Birthplace.
Without going into great detail, the upgrade required us to sequence a shutdown of our two BirthPlace operating rooms, removing and storing all equipment while each OR was improved. Because only one BirthPlace operating room was available at any time, we also needed to assure that an operating room in surgery was always ‘OB’ Ready. A wide ranging team from surgery, housekeeping, OB provider offices, facilities and the BirthPlace staff were all engaged. Individuals who played significant roles included Christena George (surgery), Kim Marcus (pharmacy), Jennifer Suedmeyer (anesthesia), Joe Dorko (bio-medical), Frank Kisandi (maintenance) and Etta Uzzle (infection prevention).
Thanks to all involved for a great team effort! Our BirthPlace operating rooms have new lights, fresh paint and some new automation – a win for providers, staff and our patients!
