Thank you to Amy and the entire CISM Team for supporting your peers!

COVID-19 has affected how we do our work here at Bronson, as well as our community as a whole. Through this, our employees and providers have shown tremendous dedication and perseverance. Through this stressful time, it’s important our staff have the support the need in order to provide excellent care for our patients.

As a system, Bronson is committed to helping employees be well and live a balanced lifestyle. Through the leadership of Amy Morrison-Maybee, the peer-based Bronson Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM) has risen to the call to aid staff. As of September, the Bronson CISM team has completed 304 interventions, which is a more than a 200% increase from the previous year! This is due to the impact COVID-19 has had on the emotional health of so many employees. Interventions can range from one-on-one support to larger department groups where individuals can discuss their experiences and feelings in a safe space and receive coping techniques and other ways to reduce stress.

The Bronson CISM team is primarily comprised of Bronson employees who volunteer their time to help other employees through difficult times. These services are provided free of charge to Bronson employees at all locations 24/7.

Thank you to Amy and the entire CISM Team for supporting your peers!
