Thank you to C3 RN, Alexa Smith, for speaking up

Jim McKernan, Employee

Today we recognize C3 RN, Alexa Smith, for demonstrating our key Bronson Behavior: Be a Problem Solver.

Across Bronson Battle Creek we are focused on continuous improvement of patient care. Recently, RN, Alexa Smith, suggested that adding ‘last weight’ to inpatient heart failure discharge paperwork would help patients more safely recover at home. With assistance from informatics, ‘last weight’ is now available on EPIC discharge forms system-wide, providing an additional tool for patients whose safety requires keeping a close watch on daily weight.

Thank you to C3 RN, Alexa Smith, for speaking up and paying attention to detail. And thanks to staff across Bronson who problem solve on behalf of our patients!
