Thank you Sheri for your energy, creativity, and commitment to safe, high quality care.

Today we recognize Sheri Coons, our system manager of accreditation, for demonstrating our Bronson mission to advance the health of our communities.

Not long ago Sheri heard about National Take Back Day . . . an opportunity for communities to safely dispose of un-used and expired pharmaceuticals. As a nurse and member of our patient safety and quality team, Sheri was excited and advanced the idea to host an event at BBC. Partnering with the Battle Creek Police Department and our Bronson community health department, we were pleased to see nearly 120 people attend – and 100 pounds of potentially dangerous drugs safely disposed.

I want to make special mention of Amy Sams from patient safety and quality, who worked the event with Sheri. And we appreciate our community health team, which also coordinated Take Back events at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Bronson LakeView Hospital and Bronson South Haven.

Thank you Sheri Coons for your energy, creativity, and commitment to safe, high quality care. We appreciate all who live our mission to advance the health of our communities.
