Thank you for giving me a second chance at life.

Raymond Courter, Patient

I was admitted to Bronson on July 5th having come from Marshall Oaklawn hospital with chest pains. I was given high priority attention and the utmost respect from everyone in the emergency room. After being admitted and put in a room I had some of the most awesome nurses and doctors I could ever imagine having. I had open heart surgery on July 8th and my first two nurses in ICU were Amy on the night shift and then Stephanie on the day shift. Amy did an awesome job keeping me stable and out of pain all night long and then Stephanie encouraged me to get up and start walking and doing my breathing exercises. All which made it so much quicker to get to my own room. Once in my own room I had nothing but stellar nurses and aides. Marcia on the Cardiac floor was the most amazing lady I have ever met. She went above and beyond everyday that she was there, she never got irritated with me no matter how annoying I was.
Everyone I came into contact with during my week at Bronson was above standard in my eyes, they all cared about me and what I was going through and wanted to help in anyway they could.
I want to thank each and everyone of you for the professionalism you put out there everyday and for giving me a second chance at life. Without all of you it would not be as easy to recover from this. I plan to take care of my new heart and enjoy a lot of life.
