THANK YOU for fostering an environment where your incredible staff can nurture and care in the best and worst of situations.

Deb Baker, Family Member

My mother was recently a patient in the Neuro Critical Care Unit. While she was in the hospital, my family and I received the news no family should ever get — she was not going to survive her accident, the damage done was too severe and despite the doctors best, there was nothing else that could be done.

At that point, sister and I made the calls to our brothers who live out of state and we waited. The compassion, care, empathy and attention that we received from the nurses there (Jessica, Dave, Jennifer and Ali) was so heartfelt and genuine. We felt the love they had for her as if it were their own family member and they treated us like family too – hugging us and crying with us as we left to face a difficult next day.

My mom’s ventilator was removed on a Tuesday afternoon and passed on to her next great adventure that night. The nurses continued to keep her comfortable, to make sure we had everything we needed and just to be there to answer our endless questions.

Bronson has always been a happy place to me – my 3 children have been born there, my sisters 3 were also born there. While this experience didn’t end in the same joy when we left the hospital, the feeling of family, camaraderie and love was still there. THANK YOU for fostering an environment where your incredible staff can nurture and care in the best and worst of situations. Words can not describe the gratitude I have in my heart.
