Thank you Alex Shipley for your dedication to our team and our patients

Today we recognize Patient and Family Care Ambassador, Alexandra Shipley, for supporting the team and delivering exceptional care experiences.

One year ago, a grant allowed Alex to join Bronson Battle Creek in a new role designed to strengthen our inpatient care experience. We challenged Alex to meet face-to-face with patients with a goal of building relationships, supporting our nursing staff, and improving the satisfaction of patients and families.

In 2018, Alex completed an amazing five thousand face-to-face calls on patients! We have heard some wonderful stories of her work supporting the needs of patients – and of her partnership with nurses, physicians and other BBC staff. And target scores for satisfaction are moving in the right direction… including dramatic double-digit improvements in several nurse communication categories.
