Teamwork truly does make for excellent patient care

The pediatric floor was very busy particularly on 11/25. Kristin Hussan, the charge nurse, advocated for her nurses and asked if the pediatric oncology clinic would be able to assist with chemotherapy for an admission that day. The clinic nurses were more than happy to make that work and were happy to help the team! Tela Gould and Mel Hoskin always work great together and were able to deliver the chemotherapy in a time efficient way for my patient. Because the clinic nurses were able to help the floor nurses, Kristin was then able to help me with a time sensitive procedure for another patient. Teamwork truly does make for excellent patient care and I’m sure that no one knew the positive downstream effects of what they did for our patients! I appreciate this group of women more than they will ever know.
