Such a fun event for our team and the kids!

On November 14 and 18, students at Lincoln Elementary and Maple Grove Elementary in South Haven had a unique opportunity to experience a “Fruit and Vegetable Petting Zoo” put on by the Bronson South Haven community health educators. During the hands-on exhibit, which encouraged students to eat more fruits and vegetables, students used their senses to look, touch, smell and taste black beans, mango, broccoli, pumpkin, spinach, zucchini and peppers.  The fruits and vegetables were “dressed up” as silly characters and the students voted on their favorite character.

Our team loves having the opportunity to go out in the community and teach people – both children and adults – the importance of eating healthy. It is fun to show them ways to make healthy choices without compromising on taste and affordability!
