No matter what role or ‘hat’ Lyndsey is wearing… she wears it amazingly well. She is a clinical expert and a true team player who works with everyone to do what is best for the patients and our unit. She leads by example, demonstrates extreme competence not only providing care to our patients but also working with her coworkers. When Lyndsey is in charge, she is totally in charge and keeps the ‘ship’ running smoothly, no matter how rough the waters. Patients and their families are treated with compassion and are included in planning their care and kept informed. I appreciate Lyndsey’s honesty and fairness. Everyone is on the same level when she is working with you or working as your charge nurse. There are no specific events to mention with Lyndsey as she is the ‘event’ herself. She is a perfect reflection of Bronson’s definition of Impact.

Lyndsey Vlietstra is a nurse on the Admission Unit at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She is the recipient of the 2018 Hazel Latondress Impact Award, and was recognized during the 2019 Nursing Excellence Celebration.
