Dr. Caudill and I recently did a Doctors with Dairy presentation for the students at Maple Grove School, in South Haven as part of the Every Kid Healthy Week. We served the kids  a special, dairy-filled breakfast (Blueberry Pancakes with a Very Berry Yogurt sauce), and talked to them about MyPlate, eating healthy dairy foods, and being active to build strong bones. I even dressed up as a cow – which the kids thought was hilarious!

Every Kid Healthy is a five-day event sponsored by Bronson’s Community Health, Equity and Inclusion Department, the Bronson Wellness Center and the United Dairy Industry of Michigan. Throughout the week, local role models and mentors encourage students to eat healthy and be active. Every day, a different civic/service group or organization sponsored a short health promotion activity at the school. Over 350 students participated in this event and learned so much! I am so proud to work for an organization like Bronson that sponsors important programs like Every Kid Healthy.
