Not only did this make his day, but seeing the smile on his face made our day as well

On Tuesday March 1st, we were serving a Mardi Gras themed lunch/dinner special at the Bronson Battle Creek Cafeteria.

That afternoon, I received a call from a nurse on the 5th floor who had a long stay patient who is from Louisiana. The nurse wanted to bring him down to be able to eat and enjoy food from his home state.

The Patient was promptly brought down and was able to choose from the variety of menu item such as Jambalaya, Hush puppies, and New Orleans BBQ Shrimp.  BBC Cafeteria Casher Samantha Onkka gave up her personal Mardi Gras beads to the patient, which made him very happy.

I want to thank Nurses Elyse Roberds and Michelle Sabo for thinking to bring him down. Not only did this make his day, but seeing the smile on his face made our day as well.
