Not only are you helping others but others are helping you

The key thing I want to emphasize is how rewarding volunteering for Bronson Battle Creek has been for me. It makes me feel good to make others feel good. The second that has been marvelous with the volunteer organization is, unfortunately, since I became a member I’ve had my daughter-in- law pass away and four years later, just this year, my husband passed away. The ladies and gentlemen in this organization helped carry me through, they helped out with cards, with food, and by coming to the visitation and showing that they care. These are people that I see maybe once a month, but they’re my community. I think that’s a tremendous benefit that you get, not only are you helping others but others are helping you. I couldn’t have gotten through all of this without the Bronson Battle Creek Volunteers.
