Natalie Servis is the embodiment of a professional nurse. One of her many roles on the post-anesthesia care unit  (PACU) at Bronson Battle Creek is to serve as a preceptor to new-to-PACU RN’s, and in this role her professionalism and role modeling serve to fully prepare RN’s to serve effectively in the PACU.

Another role Natalie exemplifies centers around her engagement and commitment to the unit and process improvement. Natalie has been instrumental particularly in the ongoing development of a new process for increasing the efficiency of throughput from Phase I to Phase II recovery, ably and enthusiastically embracing new trial processes in an effort to develop an effective process.

In addition to her role as preceptor she has also agreed to serve as a formal and informal leader in the PACU. Natalie is someone I personally rely upon to seek out creative new approaches to challenges identified by PACU staff. This award would truly be recognizing an outstanding RN who takes personal and professional pride in everything she does.
