My life has done a 180.

Brian Reitz, Patient

In the beginning of March 2016 my wife and I went on vacation to Las Vegas to celebrate our wedding anniversary of 17 yrs. We both caught a sinus cold during the last couple of days while there. My wife’s cold resolved while mine lingered on for roughly 3 weeks. I took cold medicine, Tylenol and other over the counter meds to try and get over the cold with no relief. After working in the medical field for over 20 years I figured it was a virus and was going to simply wait it out. But after 3 weeks of having a constant headache without any relief I went to see my provider. A CT exam was ordered and a Pituitary Macro-adenoma was discovered. I had an MRI 2 days later followed by surgery 3 weeks after that. It was a life changing event to say the least. The surgery went amazing well and I couldn’t believe the changes that occurred. Some of the symptoms I had been experiencing for years were now resolving. I had attributed to simply getting old. I had decreased energy, I watched what I would eat and worked out regularly but couldn’t lose weight.

My life has done a 180 and I have since lost roughly 50 lbs in the course of 1 year. My energy levels have returned and I am now back into clothes that I haven’t been able to fit into since high school. I could go on and on telling more but I’ll let my attached picture speak for itself. The image on the left is me last week and on the right is the day after surgery last year, May 7, 2016. I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Fabi & Dr. Szeles, they make an excellent team that I would recommend highly to anyone. My wife and I both work for Bronson and love our careers and being part of the Bronson family.
