Miranda, child life specialist, went ABOVE AND BEYOND

This past weekend we had a very difficult situation on Pediatrics. There was a child with special needs who had to be put through multiple procedures. Miranda Ray, one of our child life specialists, went ABOVE AND BEYOND. She comforted the child through all of the procedures, kept her as calm as the situation could allow as the parents could not be there. She spent well over two hours post procedure engaging and comforting the child. All of the staff were so appreciative of her amazing skill set and willingness to help out in a difficult situation. We are so fortunate to have such experienced and skilled CCLS (certified child life specialists) on staff here at Bronson Children’s Hospital.
