Larry really created such a memorable human moment of caring

I just wanted to share a story about Larry who was working the desk in the Emergency Room the night my mom was transported by ambulance from her assisted living facility (Sunday, March 4, 2018). I arrived to the ER ahead of the ambulance and Larry was such a gentle and warm helper.

I helped us to get checked in and he stayed on top of my mom’s arrival so that I could be united with her immediately. He also helped my partner to find us when she arrived, as well. Later that night, as my mom was being discharged back home, he and I were walking out at the same time. He stopped to ask after my mom and to really engage in a thoughtful conversation with me.

While everyone that worked with my mom that evening did a great job, Larry really created such a memorable human moment of caring. And, I suspect, this is true for him frequently with those he comes into contact with. Thank you, Larry, for being a bright spot in a tough night!
