Jessica’s courage to speak up helped the child get the care they needed
Congratulations to the latest Bronson Safety Hero, Jessica Pintarelli, MSW!
Jessica is medical social worker at Bronson. While working in the emergency department, she had a case involving a child who had severe injuries and had to be admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit. It was suspected that the injuries were a result of an unsafe home environment.
Jessica noticed the patient’s young sibling had facial bruising and red eyes. The mother agreed to have her child evaluated. The exam revealed the second child also needed to be admitted and treated for serious injuries.
Because of her attention to detail and courage to speak up, Jessica helped get the child the medical care they needed.
