Today we recognize Bronson Battle Creek Emergency Department registered nurse, Jamie Whelan, for delivery of patient and family centered care.

Recently, a very ill gentleman visiting our emergency department passed away in our care. Jamie Whelan was part of the team providing care for the patient – but was also focused on the family during this most stressful time. Jamie’s compassionate care made a profound impression on the family, and their feedback to BBC makes it clear the significance of her care, thoughtfulness, and team interactions to patient, family, and even extended family.
