It’s really empowering, and I feel like I’m a part of a team

Autum Roggow, Employee

As a phlebotomy lab trainer at Bronson Battle Creek, the best part about my job and what I like most about Bronson is that I get to teach people, who may not have any medical education background, how to do something that is super important in the medical field.

Doctors have important jobs. So for me, it’s really empowering and I feel like I’m a part of a team with everyone here. I like knowing that when I do my job successfully, doctors can do theirs successfully.

So it makes me feel really good to know that I may be the person who played a part in saving someone’s life from dying of a heart attack because I got the blood sample as fast as I could and sent off to the lab. So, it’s just helping the patients, working closely together with the team, and just touching people’s lives with the short amount of time I have with them.
