It was great to be recognized

I work with the peer education department, in a program called “Project Trust”. We go to community events and work with public schools to teach sexual education. We teach students about consent, what to do if something happens, how to cope and all the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships.
We didn’t know we were in the running to be awarded for “Outstanding Community advocacy” award. We were just doing what we normally do. We weren’t trying for it. We were just doing our job. It was great to be recognized Sexual Assault Services.
