It is Kenita’s dedication to a holistic, patient-centered experience that makes her such a wonderful asset

Today we recognize Bronson Battle Creek chaplain Kenita Spencer for compassion and the delivery of exceptional care experiences.

To be respectful of privacy we will share very little detail around this story – other than to say that for many weeks Kenita has provided help and support to a family that lost a loved one.  She ministered to the needs of patient and family during their time in the hospital, maintained contact with family after discharge, and has advocated for the family and helped connect them to resources after our formal healthcare connection was completed.  As another hospital employee noted in the nomination, it is Kenita’s dedication to a holistic, patient-centered experience that makes her such a wonderful asset to our Bronson team and the community that we serve.

Thanks to Kenita for her many caring contributions.  And what a great reminder that all of us are caregivers and that each of us contribute to exceptional care experiences at BBC!
