I was very tired but grateful

Debra Conant, Patient

Today was my third visit to Bronson Rehabilitation Services – Centre Ave. for physical therapy relative to a total knee replacement that occurred less than two weeks ago on May 21. This was the second time I was treated by Alexis Rairigh. I was dreading today’s visit because I’ve been in pain for several days, have been teary and have had many sleepless nights over the past 12 days since my surgery. However, Alexis carefully listened, validated my feelings, answered all my questions and made suggestions for my home exercise program that I believe will really help me. She worked with me to do more than I thought I could do today. When I left, I felt much more emotionally strong and I told her my pain was about a six. However, by the time I arrived home my pain had risen to about an eight, partially due to the productive PT workout and partially because I was over due for pain meds. I was very tired but grateful because I believe I will finally be able to sleep using the suggestions Alexis made and because I believe I’m on the road to recovery. Thank you, Alexis.
