I was cancer free and in remission

Donnie Welch, Patient

I was diagnosed with stage 4 thyroid cancer on March 17, 2018 in Kalamazoo, Michigan; I had thyroid removal at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Spector removed my thyroid, parathyroid and had to resection my trachea, due to cancer. I had my radiation and chemotherapy at Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center, beginning in May through July of 2018, and on September 17, 2018, 6 months to the day, had my PET scan, and I was cancer free and in remission. I’m so thankful to Bronson Methodist Hospital and the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center for all their help! Battle Creek Cancer Care Center is the best cancer care, thanks to CEO Jim McKernan for directing me there. Dr. Mudge and Dr. Cox are great and the radiation and chemotherapy department’s are fantastic! Love you all! That’s where my Bronson Positivity began and ended! Thanks to Bronson and U of M Hospital’s and the good Lord for blessing me!
