I want to support the patients and also the Bronson staff

Mary Peterson, organized radio donation

My husband, Matt, passed away November 10th with COVID. The one thing we weren’t able to do was get him a radio to listen to music while in the hospital at Bronson Battle Creek.

I put a note out on Facebook that radios were needed, and the next morning I woke up and we had 42 radios and even more coming in. The community support has been just amazing. Matt was a football coach and a mentor, and we wanted to do this as a memorial to him.

I want to support the patients and also the Bronson staff.  They have been super in all they are doing, and I can’t imagine their stress. I hope these radios will help their day a little bit when they are in those stressful situations in the COVID rooms, they can also take part in that music and hopefully it will cheer them up.
