I suggest making an appointment with Dr. Alec MacDonald

When I moved to Michigan last October 1st with my husband, I needed to start looking for a primary doctor. My mother-in-law told me she uses the Bronson group and really likes them, so I decided to look for a primary doctor through that group. I found a doctor at the office of the Bronson Family Medicine – The Groves a facility of Bronson Methodist Hospital that I go to now and tried to make an appointment with him but I was told he wasn’t taking any more patients. I was asked if I would be interested in seeing another doctor and she offered Dr. Alec MacDonald and I agreed to seeing him. I have to say of all the primary doctors I’ve seen he’s been the greatest I’ve ever had in my life. He actually cares about knowing everything about my medical history, what medications I’m currently taking, what medications could be better with helping my medical conditions, medication interactions, he gives me referrals when he feels I need to see a specialist, he actually cares and feels that he should know what’s going on with my health currently. I’ve only had one specialist since I’ve been an adult that cared about my health that offered advice on who I should see for issues outside of his practice. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have known I had sleep apnea because he suggested I see a doctor when I mentioned certain things, I do miss him, but Dr. Alec MacDonald has definitely filled in his spot and more. He’s so caring, easy to talk to, easy to understand, joke with and he’s easy to talk seriously about your health, he’s very knowledgeable, wants to know of any problems you’re having and tries to see if there’s anything he can do. If he can’t help you in his office by doing something he specializes in, then he will refer you to a fantastic specialist that is great. I was scared moving here from New Jersey and having to go through the process of finding all new doctors but with the referrals and the use of the Bronson Mychart things have been so easy. I have to say if it weren’t for Dr. Alec MacDonald being my primary doctor, I don’t think I’d be getting the treatments and care that I need without his help. So, if you are looking for a phenomenal and caring doctor that cares about you as a person and your health as a priority, I suggest making an appointment with Dr. Alec MacDonald.

I also have to give acknowledgement to Shannon the RN I always get to be seen by. She is so kind, helpful, knowledgeable and knows what she’s doing. I also have to say whenever I’ve had to receive a shot from her, I didn’t even feel the needle go through my skin and I’ve had issues with other nurses, so I definitely really like having her as my RN. On a final note, the office staff you get to check-in with are also great to speak with. They are so friendly, quick, they try to help you with any questions you have and if they need the answer from another person they call them and you get your questions answered quickly.

So I just have to say it one more time Dr. Alec MacDonald is the best Primary Doctor I’ve ever seen, he actually cares about my health and wants to do everything and anything he can do to help me with my medical conditions. I truly trust his decisions, ask questions and stick to his advice. So thank you for caring and being so supportive Dr. Alec MacDonald, I like that you show and say you care.
