I felt not only well taken care of but CARED for as a person

I was bitten by a spider yesterday. I marked the bite and small swelling when I went to bed. When I woke up, the redness and swelling was halfway down my forearm! It was horrible in terms of itching and burning. I called my doctor’s office and was transferred to the triage nurse. This person was AWESOME! They were empathetic, asked the right questions to asses and reassure. Within minutes I had an appointment at my doctor’s office. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly, promptly taken back and the PA, Kim took awesome care of me. She reassured me that my arm would not fall off (I tend to peek at Web MD once in a while). She talked me through how to care for my bite, meds being called in and what to look for in the next 24 hours. From the first person who picked up the phone this morning to checking out at Bronson Internal medicine on Stadium I felt not only well taken care of but CARED for as a person. A huge thank you to everyone involved in my care.
