I felt like I couldn’t catch a break

Alyssa Adrion, Patient

I was admitted to Bronson on Tuesday, August 6th. I was hospitalized for a week due to my 4 wisdom teeth coming out and I got cellulitis, Ludwig Angina and MRSA. I felt like I couldn’t catch a break. I could hardly open my mouth, I was in so much pain it felt like nothing was helping at this point. Bronson staff found what would help my pain and I was able to get some rest. A couple days went by and I became extremely emotional I wanted to go home – this wasn’t how this was all supposed to be.

Dr. Penny Rathburn was my doctor while I was there. She watched me cry my eyes out and she made me comfortable. She reminded my why I was there and said that once they can get me 100 percent better, I can go home to my animals. Monday, August 12th I was discharged with a PICC line. I also became emotional about that because, again, it wasn’t supposed to be this way.

I want everyone and anyone to know the real risk of getting their wisdom teeth removed. I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did. If it weren’t for Bronson, I probably wouldn’t be here today. I can’t thank all the staff enough. BRONSON POSITIVITY.
