I cannot say enough about every staff member we came in contact with

Sharon Wixson, Family Member

My mother in law was a patient on the 5th floor at Bronson Battle Creek. She was admitted through ER on Sunday evening 1/7. She was admitted with CHF, stage 4 renal failure, failure to thrive and comfort measures were being taken. We have a very large family (6 children, their children, their children’s children, you get the idea).

I cannot say enough about every staff member we came in contact with. Housekeeping would come in before they left for the day and ask if we needed anything from them and told us to have a good night. Dietary made sure the family had food, snacks, drinks, they even brought my mother in law a birthday cake, card, plates, utensils on her birthday 1/8.

The compassion of the nursing staff was beyond anything I can put into words. They were as compassionate for the family as they were for the patient. It’s too often you hear only the negatives about a situation; however I cannot express our appreciation as a family. The nursing staff was probably tired of me asking for a warm blanket for mom but they never showed it. Whatever we needed they provided.
