I can genuinely say that I love my job

This upcoming July will mark 19 years that I have worked at Bronson! In my current role, I am the system lead sonographer for radiology. For the past 19 years, I have enjoyed my career because of the people I get to work with every day. The team here truly feels like family. When you spend more time during the day with your co-workers than you do with your own family at home, it’s important that you feel valued, comfortable and welcomed. Our team here exhibits all of those qualities and more!

Throughout my career at Bronson, I have been given opportunities to expand my ultrasound knowledge, specifically, with musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging. I have been able to attend conferences to expand my MSK knowledge and work alongside our MSK radiologists to find avenues to grow our MSK ultrasound business, which has been very successful. I have also been able to advance my career in ultrasound by taking on various leadership roles within the department.

My manager and leadership teams have always made me feel valued. They are quick to provide positive feedback and words of encouragement. Despite the challenges that our department has faced, especially throughout the pandemic, I still experience the sense of being appreciated. Our leadership team takes the time to round, to listen, and to act on issues that arise.

I can genuinely say that I love my job. I love the variety of exams that we are able to perform, the patients that I encounter, and the team that I work alongside. I wouldn’t be where I am today, in my career, without the support of my leadership team and coworkers.
