I am very proud to be a part of this group and to honor fellow nurses

Susan Purchase, Employee

A group of registered nurses who currently work at Bronson Hospital started up a local group of this nation wide program. The purpose of the group is to offer free services to honor the career of any nurse when he or she passes.  There are now about 20 nurses in the group, all people currently working at Bronson and some retired from their career at Bronson.  We have provided honor guard services for approximately 20 nurses since the group started.  Our group of nurses continues to grow.  I am very proud to be a part of this group and to honor fellow nurses for their job which touched many in our community.  We are dressed in a traditional Nurse uniform and cap as well as matching red and blue capes. We will stand guard at the casket or urn during visitation, and/or perform about a 5 minute very touching program at the end of the funeral.  What ever the family wants.
