High Demand, High Reward
I have been nurse for 12 years – the last 6 as a Circulating RN in the Operating Room at Bronson Battle Creek. I can honestly say that I believe I have found my niche in nursing. The OR is, as you might imagine, a high-pace environment that demands the ability to critically think and respond quickly to the constantly evolving needs of your patient and your surgeon. While it can sometimes be stressful to meet this demand, it is also very rewarding and – and dare I say it – FUN! There is a comradery and common sense of purpose that comes when an entire team of multi-talented people focus their energy together, in this moment, on improving the life of fellow human being. I really enjoy that. My job is so cool!
