Cancer survivor gives time, energy and passion to benefit Cancer Care Center.

James McKernan, Bronson Employee

I want to recognize someone who has made a remarkable contribution to this organization and our patients.

Corey La Gro is a cancer survivor – who wanted to find a way to support the Cancer Care Center here at Bronson Battle Creek. Corey’s idea was to start an annual golf outing that would both build awareness of the capabilities of our cancer program and raise funds to assure patients have access to needed medications, transportation and support. The result was the Feldpausch Foundation annual golf outing to benefit the Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center. For nine years, Corey has provided time, energy, passion, leadership, arm-twisting – and done all that he could to make the event successful. The result is amazing with nearly $200,000 delivered to our Medication Fund  supporting the needs of our most vulnerable cancer patients. Wow!

Thanks to Corey for his commitment to exceptional care experiences at Bronson Battle Creek. And thanks to employees, physicians and volunteers across Bronson who are living a life with purpose and gratitude.
